Conejo is a volunteer service
organization consisting of local
Conejo Valley business and
professional women of
all ages, cultures and ethnic
groups.
Soroptimist International of the
Conejo is a part of a worldwide
organization with almost 100,000
members in 120 countries and
territories who contribute time
and financial support to
community-based and
international projects
benefiting women and girls.
Soroptimist International is the
world’s largest classified
service organization for
women. The organization
sponsors a number of
international projects designed
to improve the status of women
and girls throughout the world.
Members of Soroptimist
International of the Conejo
support both the international
and local community projects by
providing financial assistance
and hands-on time and talent.
We support many local charities,
including, but not limited to,
Safe Harbor, Interface Safe
Haven, Hospice of the Conejo,
Senior Concerns, Conejo Valley
Women’s Resource Center, Many
Mansions, RAIN Project
Transitional Living Center,
Community Conscience and many
more. We are an international
non-profit organization. One
hundred percent of the proceeds
raised at our fundraising events
are donated to local community
charities.
In addition, two scholarships
are awarded each year. The
Women’s Opportunity Award
focuses on women who are
improving their lives by
attending school with plans to
re-enter the work force after
overcoming adversity in their
lives. The Violet Richardson
Award acknowledges a Conejo
Valley student (ages 14 - 17)
for their volunteer community
involvement.
Soroptimist International (SI)
is the world’s largest
classified service organization
for women whose mission is to
improve the lives of women and
girls, in local communities and
throughout the world. The SI
organization sponsors a number
of international projects
designed to support that
mission.
